Great Ratbike, the headtube looks super steep! Did you use zip ties to attach the mudguards? Love those long race blades on my single speed commuter.
-
• #17337
Thanks. Yes true track geometry. Feels great when you're used to it. Zip tied the mudguards indeed, works better than expected really.

Nice, don't cut them too short though, since it increases the risk that they'll pop open and the struts come into your spokes. Happened to me on a very ratty bike a few years ago.
-
• #17339
Too late. Double knotted them though, so fingers crossed.

You'll be fine as long as you ride on those smooooth dutch cycling paths :)

Someone buy my 'I don't care if it gets stolen, well maybe' bike... It's just sitting at work doing nothing and I'd rather see it locked up outside a pub.

Doesn’t that happen to any non-moving object within the first couple of minutes in that part of the world?
-
• #17346
Yeah, you have to check you don’t get one of these fuckers nesting under your seat. The bite is painful and off to hospital - again.

This Triumph wtfrankentandem is actually a thing. I guess it belongs here...?

That would need some kind of double hub system at the back, to keep the timing chain running correctly. Looks like an unnecessarily complex solution to a non existant problem. I'm sure @mdcc_tester can shed more light on that.
Ratbike envy!
