Which was then bouncing around my head for the rest of the journey...

fucking arsehole in a HIAB who decided to overtake coming into a pinch point. I knew he was coming and I held out a hand to indicate that he was about to do something fucking dangerous, but he went for it anyway. Slammed on the brakes and let him go by rather than die pointlessly, unfortunately the lights at the next junction were on green and we went our seperate ways without me having the chance to point out what a fucking idiot he was. Have footage, but because I brake it doesn't look that dangerous but I might try submitting it anyway.

Woa, your commute route sounds like arsehole central :(

East London, innit. I know all of London's roads are populated with arseholes, muppets and incompetents, but I've never experienced as many callous psychopaths as I have out East.

Shout out to the bloke belting out 'The Gambler' by Kenny Rogers in full voice from Lambeth North all the way to my office

Was it you?

One of those mornings when Dark Sky says you've got 50 mins before it starts raining.
No messing about, made it in. Just.

getting closer to considering a camera for some of this shit.
You just reminded me to look to see if I got the plates of the woman that just drove across my path yesterday. Cameras are good.
-
• #28011
Did you get their plates?
Cameras.

using co2 to pump it up
Or better yet use a non-disposable option, a pump.
-
• #28013
I figure that with cameras there is at least a chance they'll catch the bastard who eventually kills me.
-
• #28014
and then let him off?
-
• #28015
it's funny because it's true

Emergency CO2 kept in saddle bag.
Normally pump is in my frame bag but in my haste of swapping bikes over in the morning I didnt repack everything! Wont be making that mistake again!

Uber drove slowly into back wheel at cross road. Shout at Uber. Uber apologises and drives off. Stood in middle of road. Black cab tells me “Get the fuck out of his way”. I return the “Fuck Off”. Set off straight across a cyclists path. Crash and bang our heads together. Both stay on our bikes and luckily he’s ok about it. 30seconds of mayhem.

Yeah but then my wife will know his name and he'll end up wishing I'd run him over..

Black cabs sticking up for Uber drivers?! What’s next, cats and dogs living together?

Bar tape slid off this morning, which is an odd thing to happen. Thankfully didn't happen when I was ragging it up a hill.

Don’t worry he wasn’t. The apocalypse isn’t starting.

I started running them because I got sick of all the close passes and maybe I month later I was run down from behind by a woman not looking out her front window. So, in terms of providing evidence of fault, those little cameras were invaluable.

I carry pump, road tube and MTB tube in my work backpack. I've never owned a CO2 cart.
My emergency solution is a long walk :) -
• #28024
Yeah - I got mine after I was road rage hit and run'd (also run down from behind). Funnily enough the only major off since then (collarbone smash) didn't really use the footage as his insurers admitted liability straight away and there were witnesses.
However, on more than one occasion I've pointed the cameras out to arsey drivers and they have backed off. Tbh would report more stuff if I had the time.

After leaving my work at a hospital last week, I’m now back at the hospital after being hit by a car whilst cycling to new job. Yay !
Haha yeah the gods punish swiftly... at least it wasn't a complete deluge this morning like some days last week?
