No more orange black editions.
Red, black, turkish, black lacquer due end of November.
SJS charge £250 to convert to black edition.

The cost to change over stock parts is a little prohibitive given it's just cosmetic!
Welcome to Brompton

Just buy a frame ;)
-
• #7530
Is that even an option? :-)
Shame there is no more black and orange!
-

Second hand yes, new only if fitted to an existing bike.
You can still get one if you really want one!
-
• #7532
True, I'm just surprised it has been discontinued I guess!
With the conversion I guess it comes to around £1200 vs £1015 for the factory black edition? Plain black is looking more tempting :-)

Stock is £960, sjs black edition would be £1210, but you can obviously choose aftermarket parts and make cheaper upgrades and are not limited to stock colours... but can do things like flame lacquer or purple metallic black editions / custom paint.

I forgot to chase you up about that rim - when are you next posting up to that there London?
-
• #7537
Hopefully sending me some shit soon.

Lovely. No massive rush but I have the wife’s wheel here in need of an un-dinged rim...
-
• #7539
Anyone got easy wheels they want to get rid of that will fit my S2L with mudguards but no rack?
-
• #7540
Where do I send the money for the clips?
-
• #7541
Yeah, in the next week or 2!
-
• #7542
Smart ones or just ones that work?
-
• #7543
Pm!

I've got some mint kojaks I want to trade for some marathons if anyone's keen
?
-
• #7545
Are they any wider than the stock rims?
-
• #7546
19 mm or 24mm options. 28 and 32 hole!

Further to looking at getting a new Brompton I think I'll go for the retro look with tempest blue and tan wall tyres.
Seems to be a mix of 2018, 2019 and 2020 bikes around (looking at new). Are there actually any differences between these models besides price? Any little tweaks/changes that are worth paying more for?
-
• #7548
2018-2019 had new brakes, which have Allen key bolt and are the same rather than front and rear specific. I actually think the 2018 brakes function better though. 2020 new colours and 5% price rise.

As rolly as possible 😆 less bothered about neatness.

I have seen plenty with skateboard wheels, if your heel clears it its the best option imo
I'm just looking around to get a Brompton to quicken my commute... would really like to get an Orange Black Edition S2L but seems like everywhere is sold out. Does anyone have any idea if / when they are likely to bring out the ones for 2020?
