Thankfully yesterday he had two people to do sighting laps for him and pass on course details.
I don’t think I’ve ever ridden a race before where I’ve not had chance to do a sighting lap. It was a novel experience.
your mech might have packed up with 2 laps to go if you'd had a warm up lap ,with hindsight I wish I hadn't bothered with a sighting lap just before the start as it just meant you started caked in mud
