I find that series of images quite touching, actually.

I bought a shark duoclean from currys last week and.so far very impressed.
We went.for the wired rather than battery option as feel they tend to have a longer shelf life, lighter and less to go wrong. Actually, we went for it cos it was the cheapest but still think it'll last well -

Pretty cool and everything, but asking price is wildly optimistic, right? Like WILDLY?!
How much would a (much bigger) house actually next to park be?!

£400,000, for that?
Fuck me

• #29157
It's grim out there.

It does look very nicely put together, but a million pounds too much, and it’s in East London so you will get mugged on your doorstep.
-
• #29159
It's posh round there, Sharon Horgan lives there and Tommy off Groundforce.

£400k is low for a 3 bed in Walthamstow, even in that condition.

Anyone else find these photos slightly terrifying...

I think that’s a dogs dinner. Finishing looks pretty cheap too.

Very much so.

Meanwhile, 20 minutes from Canary Wharf and London Bridge, £1.8M buys you this six bed with garden.

Not the best location in terms of street crime, but still better than East London.

Or if you don't mind being 15 minutes walk from a station, £1.5m buys you this 17th century house with views across Greenwich park and a 1 acre garden.
I just do not get this East London love-in thing.

Sure it's nice. But 1.5 million is hardly in the reach of the average guy on the street. You would need to be earning mega bucks to get a mortgage to cover that.

From the Memes thread, a picture of the house in action:

The same would apply to weirdly proportioned £1.5m house in Hackney though.

weirdly proportioned
I'm no architect, but it's an odd use of space, isn't it?
That haunted monstrosity in Walthamstow is about 2 mins from my house. I might go ghost hunting there for Halloween.

Love this. Oh to be rich and return home to SE London.

You feel estate agents should know there's a time and a place to turn on the HDRI mode on their phones and a time to turn it the hell off.

I'm glad the horror house is getting noticed. I can't imagine anyone with a soul seeing themselves living there. You could fix it as much as you want, this would still happen:

It's all very well 'experts' telling me I need to render my house in lime, but fucked if I can find any experienced tradesmen to do it. Thought I'd found someone the other day, but it turns out he's never done a job in lime before.
-
• #29174
Phone some of the lime retailers - they can probably put you in touch with someone that may be able to help, and they're always willing to chat if you're planning to DIY.
The periodproperty.co.uk forum might also help.

I've tried Ty Mawr and Welsh lime, most of the numbers they gave me were for defunct companies. Thanks for the forum link though.
When we first moved to London in 1980, we had coal delivered to our house, which came in open sacks, which the coal men tipped into the coal hole.
