Similar story here. Went out hard and then got passed by many people in the final mile. Still thought I ran OK - the results suggest otherwise.

I started slow and ramped it up ok gaining places right through to the finish. Maybe it was the extra mud... last year was bone dry.

Looks like a good run to me. The results are mad! When you've got sub-2:30 marathon runners failing to make our scoring ten or the top 50...
So I wasn't too disappointed with my first Surrey League position outside the top 100. First race since May and not very far behind some club mates I'll be chasing down as I get quicker.

In other news, felt I ran well at xc but was 70 places and about 3mins slower than last year
