Tbf that’s roughly the same price as a round of drinks in Basel, so comparatively it’s cheap

Maybe that's why there's so many holes in the side ...

Haha, so true.
Stopped at a motorway services kinda place in Switzerland on our honeymoon so mrs m_v could pee, think that cost a couple quid and a bottle of coke and a bar of Ritter came to over €20!
Amazingly cheap Carharrt outlet in the German bit of Basel though.

Out the loop of this thread, the green cargo hack is mine, if you're keen to take on the project then it's all yours, front end welds are sketchy as but a reweld should sort it out. If you're keen I can pm you the code for the lock

The R&M are very smooth, but they are very, very heavy, with everything that entails.

Both bikes gone as of half an hour ago, hope it was someone you'd pmd the lock code to!

• #3637
Damn was not someone I gave the code to, curious who'd wanna rob them
I'm hoping it was just one person, if so I'm proud they managed to nick both, that's an impressive feat

Well, it wasn't me that's for sure.

This has got to be easier on a cargo bike, surely?

Torrential ride to a parcel drop-off. Pleasantly surprised by handling in the wet, with sidecar down and later with it back up.
Slightly less fearful of riding the beast in the rain (is easy to skid the rear even in dry), just gutted it will be all-wet and then all-ice riding til Spring now.

Would like some input on gearing...
The bullit I currently use for work has an 8 speed Shimano hub of some kind. I never use gears 1 or 8 so I am using 6 gears 36.5-80.5 gear inches.
I am building my omnium 1x10 so should I stick with the same range and get 10 speeds instead of 6? Keeping in mind my build is probably gonna end up about 4-5kg lighter than the bullit?
32/11 gives me 78.5 GI, or 20 mph at 90rpm which I think is probably fast enough for central London usage?

Well it wasn’t me that got that green cargo. Fucksticks. Was looking forward to that bike.
If anyone else has a bike that can carry a lot of weight on the front, cargo bike, Dutch bike, pls let me know. Anything with more capacity than a Royal Mail / pashley delivery bike really. Ta.

I occasionally run out of gearing with 32/11 on my Long Harry. If it’s a slight slope, I’m unladen and the wind is behind me it gets a bit spinny and I start thinking about the 34-tooth chainring in my box.
I have the SRAM PG-950 11-34 9-speed at the back of mine but I feel the Tiagra 10-speed 11-34 on my other bike has better ratios. The bigger end of the block is really for bail-out gearing if needed, but the spacing is definitely better on the 10-speed.

Ordered 32t for the bling (stainless). 25-11 at the back. Can always change later if it doesn't work out.

I’m in London for the week for work and this morning I saw a ti omnium cargo powering through Shepherd’s Bush, very fucking cool, nearly wet myself with excitement!
11,500€ it better be good!
