Nothing like paying $28AUD postage for a 10mm spacer from Japan, especially when you were in that store in person a few weeks prior and forget to buy some.
I have found some for cheaper postage, but a friend may be making some as well.

What levers / gear shifters are you using there?
-
• #22154
Shimano M6000 Deore shifters and Alivio BL-T4000 brake levers.
Rear derailleur is Deore as well.

Nice! What crankset is that? Looks functional albeit elegantly so.

Think it's a non fluted campagnolo record crankset, with an adaptor to run a 74 BCD chainring. Quite clever.

Nice. I recently jumped on Blue Lug's free postage sale to buy a shameful amount of steel and brass bits and bobs.

Yeah unfortunately I bought a t-shirt when I was in Blue Lug, so I don’t want to buy another one to get free postage on some stem spacers. Plus the Australian dollar is so rubbish right now.

Those cranks with the adaptor for smaller rings brought me to this luxurious niche product:

New tutto called the "tutto plus" seems very functional. Clearance for 45c, mounts for mudguards, racks and panniers and a rear derailleur hanger too. Not a fan of the colour though and seems pretty expensive to me.

I always thought someone should make a ~46t/110BCD one of these that would accept a 30t chainring. There's GRX now though I suppose. But this could be cheaper, and not necessitate throwing away your old crankset

Cinelli :P

If you want a 46/30 there's always the triple conversion. Cheaper than buying that chainring and bolts.

Mine was less ugly 😘

Don't be ungrateful!

That's what I've got, but it's hard to find decent triple cranks these days. Probably not economically viable to produce a special subcompact chainring when GRX is £80 or whatever.
-
• #22169
There's actually a stash of NOS FC-6603 in the UK (details available upon request)... But yes now there's a £80 Shimano option (vs the £250 Sugino) it's not really worth the hassle.

One of the problem with the older chainset is that it's basically a race gearing (52-39) with a 30t inner ring.

I got a set of 105 triple cranks (that I've made into a "compact" double) for about £20 from my LBS. Just as the result of completely idle conversation. Obviously they were second hand but were just lying around in the spare parts tub.

FC-R563
or 105 FC-5703
Would both be good candidates for this too

Nothing says "functional" like using aluminum spacers with a steel stem :P
