  • I have zero sewing skills too, but you need some sewing regardless.

    You need to open the pocket of the peak, the less you unstich it the less sewing to do afterwards.

    To replace the broken/twisted peak inside the pocket, you can use any plastic you want, the thicker the stiffer generally, but it doesn't need to be that stiff, the curved shape of the cap on your had will give it its stiffness.

    I simply used empty yogurt cups to cut the shapes out, replaced them and sewn them back up.
