I can attach the sketchup file easily enough (when I'm on a network that has it one).

That door and supporting struts is epic! What's the likelihood of being successfully broken into Dan? Obviously with the anchor, nothings moving, just curious about the thickness of wood?

Thanks

Top work, I wish I'd built my shed doors like you did, mine have warped a fair bit already :(

They'd need to get through a fair bit of wood, and there are no obvious leverage points.
Typically, you'd try and lever the corners, but they are overlapped, which would mean taking more time.
At some point, there will be a camera pointing at the face of anyone trying to get in, and a camera inside to see them...

I'm impressed

New project time!
I don't have the money for a garden office / shed, but I do need a workspace.
Now I just need to work out how to make it cheaper to build.

Exciting! Don't fancy an outdoor sink in that countertop? Where's it going?

Has much grown on the roof?

^This.
Roof update photos please.
This summer I'm building a shed. -

The plants didn't grow a huge amount over winter, and I've added another couple of inches of humus / compost, which covered the smaller, less well established plants.
Cats and squirrels have done for a few of the other plants too.
Our local garden shop had a bunch of seedum on offer though (5 for Ā£10), so I stocked up & planted a load more in time for spring.

I'd fully expect to see that covered in sleeping cats this summer

I'll hold my hands up now.

Hovis' thread made me think of this one.
How's the roof looking after all this sun and rain?

How's the roof looking
Pretty good!
The plants I put in back in March have exploded, and even the cuttings have grwon a large amount.
I've added a few more succulents that we lying around, and they're also doing well.
I'm hoping that by the end of Summer, the whole thing will be covered.
Cat for scale.

Tuned back in late and missed the living roof bit... really cool.
Your new work area, uh, erection, is it worth planning in your design so you could add sides, door and windows at a later date?

I ditched the work area idea in lieu of saving for an office.

And here are the plans:

The big front opening will be a 3 panel bifold door, he smaller one a framed & ledged door for the shed part.
The skylight will be an openable vented domed window.
I'll be sticking a bunch of drainage & soil on top of this one too for a growing roof.

Wot, no item 3?

Nice! What size roof joists will you need to support the living roof?
Also what is the purpose of the floor joists over the slab?

I'm working off a 3.8m span with 400mm centres, and an expected dead load of < 80kg - 2x6 should, I hope, see me right, according to internet fag packet calculations.
(The sketchup file at the moment is 2x5 - which would be pushing it a bit. I can take back the inch from the floor joists, though, as 2x5 is overkill for those)
Do you have plans you could post?
