  • Nah mine is still 120. The way the ends are designed might make it not too difficult a job though.

    A flat dropout slotted into the ends of the stays would probably gain you like 5mm per side

  • Yeah. It almost seems like the ends are designed to bring a 130mm frame down to 120mm. Weren't the frames back then shared between the pomp and the kaffenback? I still use a kaffenback fork.

  • There was even a 130 or 135mm spaced Pomp wasn't there? Had a hub gear I think. No idea what the ends on it looked like.

  • I use a 130mm wheel in a 120mm v4 Pompino with no probs, just since it's what I had lying around.

    Got a Pompetamine too, can confirm it's 135mm with cable guides for Alfine and fork ends similar to the Pompino.

    For the effort to do it properly I'd just see if you can get an old Kaffenback frame, generally go for under £60.
