Have a look in good outdoor shops as gloves designed for mountains tend to be more robust imo. Esp look for Ice Climbing specific as they have quite a thin palm to grip the, ahem , shaft. They're often backed with really warm and windproof materials.
I have some lovely Montane ones thst have a thick pile back covered in some sort of Pertex/Cordura fabric. Loads of dexterity and bastard warm too.
winter is coming, new gloves time :)
Last year went through 3 to 4 pairs of relatively cheap gloves (£15 to £30) - working daily on a bicycle that has a rholoff grip shifter just tore them apart. Just before it got warm again bought a pair of dexshell ultraweather gloves which were really good but quite fussy to take on and off and had too much material around the finger -so made iPhone tapping difficult. Had my doubts they’d withstand the stresses that they get put under from work. Good for commuting and as general gloves but not what I wanted them for.
Anyway.. Trialing these this year:

Touchscreen sensitivity is good, and works with all the fingers, ‘waterproof’ we’ll see but have been pretty good as gloves go so far.
The various layers don’t seem to get separated, making it easy to get them off and on again.
They are quite warm, so not really suitable for extended use in this mild weather. But who needs gloves when it’s over 10degrees anyway.
