Went to a £5 a head show where comedians tried out new material. It was all pretty decent until their surprise special guest - Lenny Henry. Everyone was delighted to get to see him in a tiny club for buttons - huge amount of goodwill. He was excruciating, not one single joke landed. Went for a piss to get away from the embarrassment, and there were a dozen guys in there, refusing to go back out and watch a childhood hero die so horribly.
He is not a funny man.
