You don't wanna snuggle?
-
• #3554
You don't, I snore bad
-
• #3555
I don't snore unless I'm drunk or I've been cycling a lot... oh, that means I snore all the time :)

Tpn trans-pyrnees has kicked off. Cant say the map is easy to follow, even for someone who understands all the red.
Some strong riders, should be a good one.

Pretty chaotic!
I’m guessing it’s a there and back as loads are currently not on a parcours. Would help if they were different colours or had a start finish flag button. -
• #3558
There and back. The long one (pyraneean raid) is on the way back and shorter on the way out.
-
• #3559
Yeah took some time to figure that out.
Nice to see Ede near the front early on. -

Eww... feels dirty dot watching rather than being a dot...
-
• #3561
They started people in waves, so essentially the tracker map is useless. Great.
Its biarritz at 05:30 on a Friday, I doubt it was busy enough to need such measures, with only 100 starters.
Frustrating.

From the race manual:
To comply with French regulations groups of 20 riders will start at 10 minute intervals from the Capra Velo bike shop. It is expected that all riders will assemble at 43.461725, -1.541116 from 04:45 and riders will be called to start from 05:00 local time based on their cap number which will be completely random as this is the first edition of the race.

At last you find out why we do it.
-
• #3565
Oh I didn't know that. So you need to know the waves and then back calc to see if the leader is actually the leader.
Ah the gaps are only 10min though so an hour between first and last roughly so it should sort itself out enough to work out.
-
• #3566
I read the above as to mean they won’t consider which wave you are in at the finish..?
-
• #3567
right, so there is reason.
Still it makes watching the tracker nearly pointless. you think they could have done something to help viewers.
-
• #3568
you read wrong
they know the timings of riders and will adjust, said so in instagram. And said they'd release timings after i hassled. But still, it does mess with the following experiance
-
• #3569
They might call them out randomly but they could just note that down which wave each number was in. Easy enough to sort out if they chose to. Given TransIb had top placed riders within 3min it could get 'interesting' if they don't. Or maybe they call anyone within an hour of each other 'equal 3rd' or whatever.
-
• #3570
Pointless until everyone is more than an hour apart.
-
• #3571
1-20 are in the first wave.... although hang on guessing drop outs affect this.
-
• #3572
Ah ok
-
• #3573
it can't be so, as neil is 17 but they say Marcus (100) is leading...
-
• #3574
Confusing!

• #3575
just been made aware ivan (I can't remember his username) has powered up frrt, superior to trackleaders
Yeah, I recognised some of the names and found some ride reports from them as well. Seems a simple but well organised event.
