What time is it? Watches and horology

Do like the overall look but the W.1854 slightly irks - it looks like they’ve left the catalogue number on it by mistake.

Big turn around - Timex plummeted after the 70s - Casio and Swatch just ate their US market space in the 80s and they were have been all at sea since then. The 90s were particularly grim for them as I remember - cheap quartz with just random designs. Nice to see them rediscover their touch. My grandfather had a battered to hell 60s champagne Timex Marlin that he wore from new until he died in 1989 so I will always have a soft spot for them.

Prefer the white one, and the overall vibe is pretty cool, but the movement is too small for the case.

The movement doesn’t look particularly well finished or anything, I just think this is Seiko’s modus operandi now, make it limited and north of 3k, bingo. Really this should be a series piece at half the price like the regular Presage chrono with the same calibre. Oh well.

One last thing on it - love that they’ve nicked the Bell & Ross date window design and not done the ol’ rotate-a-date.

Way too congested for me, overloaded. Its like they said, "If there's space, fill it." Not feeling that stacking on the left dial either.
