• Interesting proposition here in Berlin, to use space thats caught between space given to cars.
Posting it because the towers would have windfarms on top and solar integrated in the facade, and would be connected by walk/bikeways. Mixed use between offices and apartments, which I think should be (and I think it is in Berlin) mandatory for projects of this size, so that at least there is a chance of bringing work and home closer together.
And Berlins top crazy building is in the render. .

  • Ah, la ville radieuse just won't die ...

As if it needed saying, those roads need to be removed/city-ised/turned into railway lines, and a proper cityscape constructed.

Dreadful proposals, fully in the grip of science fiction nonsense and hypermobility wet dreams.

  • I also thought about corbusiers plan to raise the Marais to build skyscrapers.

You're right if course, putting a wind turbine on top of a high rise is like saying electric cars will solve traffic problems.

But seeing as we just get 3kms of brand new autobahn I don't think that those roads will disappear soon.

    And I like sci-fi!

Yep. This is meant to be radical but taking the space dedicated to cars back would be truly radical as you say Oliver.

Separately, surely these skyscrapers that narrow at the bottom are a terrible idea from a fire safety perspective too?
