I do that a lot and am trying to balance being economical whilst also not letting it stop me taking shots. I guess I should be shooting digital, but then I don't enjoy using digitals as much as I do film cameras
Also I might actually sell my Nikon and Pentax stuff because while I love it I think my taste has changed, meaning that I'm after a bit of a "calmer" sort of sharpness, so actually thinking of going back to Canon - or maybe try Olympus.
I've noticed that with Ektar shot with Nikon lenses, it tends to be a bit full on.
Enjoying Pentax stuff though, despite their lenses not ageing very well. I have one 50mm smc-a that's hazy and a 50 smc-m with dragging aperture blades on stop down

Hmm, I suppose you must have gotten some that have not been used for a long period of time or which have been stored in questionable conditions maybe..
I had / have several SMC M and K lenses and they all work flawlessly and are just beautiful to work with and show no signs of age. In fact they're holding up quite a lot better than the manual Nikon and Canon.

Considering it looks mint and even comes with the (very nice) grip that's a good price!
Frankly I can't be spending money on analog camera equipment right now, as much as I'd like to.
