Oh so NOW the DUP accepts the "backstop", well, has it been
    1: blackmail
    2: another billion bung
3: pressure from voters as with Wrightbus going wheelsup (which is part the fault of Brexit but mostly mismanagement and sending donations to a church instead of keeping it for the business) means more joblosses are -really- too much even for them
    4: ????

However, the WA won't be voted on anymore w/o changes to it, but maybe they will find a way to roll it in glitter

  • They over played their hand didn't they? 10 MP's are important when their support gives you a majority of one, less so when their support still doesn't get you a majority .

  • They are so proud of themselves right now it is not even funny.

How on Gods Green Emerald Island they think this is going to work I don't know...letting Stormont have a say is nice in theory, but what if it votes "nope" when there still is no solution setup OR we have Direct Rule

  • And the longer Stormont is suspended due to the DUP's intransigence the dafter they look too.

Quite how Johnson thinks giving control of the backstop to, in effect, the DUP is better than having it determined jointly by the UK and EU is something of a mystery.
