I’m going to hold on to it. My circumstances will change in the new year so I should be able to afford to rebuild it.

My do-it-all everyday Salsa Vaya :
I should really tidy up the wiring and cut the steerer... ;)

Soz, missed this.
Yeah, pretty well, considering. Good flex on the shell, goldilocks amount of padding, material cover is quite nice. Done a few reasonable rides comfortably without padding, though I could do with a relief channel still. Think it's probably going to wear on the faster side, but it wasn't pricey.

my old Vaya which I adored
That Vaya has been a great companion!
You take so much better pics than I do, haha.
Your builds are always awesome! Can't wait to see that new frame finished!

Anyone ridden / owned a recent Marrakesh? Tempted to buy frame only and build one up, but £870 seems quite steep.
Always heard good things about salsa frames though.

12 years ago on my fixed Tour d'Dales . Stupidly sold this frame about 6 years ago on this very forum and regret it.
Anyone got a Casserole in the biggest size they like to sell on??

I'm looking for the Salsa owners club. If there's isn't one then this can be it.
The reason I'm looking for it is because I need advice about the alternator dropouts and mounting racks.
I need an aftermarket rack for my Salsa Marrakesh and the low deck version of the alternator rack is £150. There are mudguard eyelets on my Alternator plates but Salsa say these are not intended for racks, just mudguards. I can't pay £150 for a rack. It's too much. Has anyone used these eyelets successfully with a rack?
Any advice gratefully received.
