  • About to try and fit two sets of the supernova connectors to my headlight cable tonight to create a removable section of wire that will allow easier moving of the headlight between a fork crown mount and bar mount (when using front bags) without a load of excess cable to be mindful of. The sinewave website has instructions for soldering the connections whilst the instructions that come with the connectors suggest just crimping does anyone have any experience/anecdotal tips either way?

  • I did exactly this with a big front rack vs crown. Works fine, but I would recommend soldering, as crimping the golden banana/bullet connectors always seemed to weaken the wire and end up breaking off soon after. And once crimped they can't be used again, so I had to buy a load more from eBay. Thanks fully a lot cheaper than Supernova's own replacements. Get some heatshrink too and it should be waterproof.
