I always recommend a visit to the fighting cock at moments like this

The most goals conceded by an English team in Europe since Spurs, who else, conceded 8 in 1995. That was the intertoto cup, so there are signs of improvement

Rio Ferdinand was pretty brutal on Kane and Spurs in general.

Has the sheriff lost his star? š I hate myself for typing that

Didn't Joshua Kimmich get linked with spurs at some point?

Itās certainly tarnished.
Maybe even rusty?

I donāt think so, but I may be in the minority amongst spurs fans currently - like most fans they have an obscenely short memory for what heās done and how far weāve come under his guidance.
Longest heās been at a club, and for the first time heās having to rebuild a team/squad to refresh it, bringing in new players, rather than having his best players sold out from under him.
I knew this season would be a challenge, but was seduced by the signings we made that it would be okay.
Itās early and pochettino has time to make it right. The contract things will rumble on, and talk of him leaving for a ābiggerā job will intensify, but a run of good results makes that all go away..Wonder how we will play against Liverpool as thatās our next big test.

Surely part of the role of a manager is to constantly refresh, bring on other players etc. Maybe not every week but change and development must be at least a medium term factor.

I was going to post
I like Pochettino and think that he is doing a great job at Spurs. I
commend Mr Blackfoot for his loyalty in the face of adversity. But couldn't do it with a straight face.
I actually would like to see him gone from the Premier League. I dislike his style of play. I dislike the thuggery. Think that Sherwood could do a good job for Spurs or, maybe Venables. Or what about Jenas?

To 6th in the league and within one point of London rivals Arsenal and West Ham

Seriously, this is what I can't understand. There's constant speculation about him going to a bigger club, but on the back of what? He's won nothing, has spread panic amongst his players at key moments in every season and been given an easy ride by the fans, until now...

It does look like Spurs controlled their anger issues better than ever yesterday. Only two yellow cards and AllĆ didnāt even get booked.

Just when you think Spurs have reached peak Spurs, they find a new level. They really are the innovators of the modern game, forget Pep, Bielsa etc. Looking forward to Jonathan Wilson's article on this very subject.

I don't understand how spurs fans can really be that annoyed with Pocchetino. He's made them a consistent top 4 finisher, given them an identity - made them very un-spursy (last night's result excepted), bought sensibly, taken them to a champion's league final and all without shelling out man city, or even man united levels of cash. It was only 8-10 years ago Tottenham were the 'finish anywhere between 11th and 5th club'. Losing Trippier seems to have affected the balance of their defence, and clearly players wanting out isn't good for morale. As embarrassing as last night's defeat was, it was a freak result. The fact that this is seen as a crisis is a reflection of how well Pocchetino has done.

Nothing's changed, they're still total bottle-jobs... That runs through the whole club, from the CEO to the plastic streaming the game at home on their laptop...

I stream from home using the browser on my smart telly so I get full screen footy. Iām still chucking bricks at Spurs though because Derby are so much better and no where near as embarrassing to support.

I'd like to, but I can't see it. They turned around a 3-0 aggregate deficit in 40 minutes against Ajax. In the final they turned in a shite performance, but ultimately lost to a team that had beaten them twice in the league and man for man were quite simply better than them.
Not a happy ship by all accounts.
Sorry. Wrong metaphor
