• It's a hard choice, especially when large amounts of money are involved in buying an uninteresting newer car.

    For me, my circumstances changed by having a child... After that the priority was a safe car that was comfortable. The only hard rule was no SUV or crossover type car.

  • I am almost definitely going to plump for something older. and spend large amounts of money keeping it on the road. But will have monthly trips of 200-300 miles and the little fiat can't be asked to do that.

    And later will need space to carry more human beings. Not young ones. But ones that are precious nonetheless.
