Could you fit it instead of stopping to syphon off old fluid from the reservoir when bleeding from the bottom? Push new fluid in at the calliper, pipe the old off to a bottle and stop when it runs clear?
I guess if you are doing that then its just as easy to fit the top plate and reservoir and pull through from the calliper. Tbh I didnt know there was a bleed kit for tech3 levers. Think I might invest in one in the spring when I generally bleed both sets I have.

I've got an easy bleed kit, with the top plate and reservoir, I guess this doesn't make any difference if you're pushing the fluid up from the bottom?
