Hmm, you are right.

Still doesn't change whether I will allow animals to be sold on the site though.

No, that's obviously a different matter. Personally I don't have an issue with kittens etc. costing some money if there is evidence of them having been cared for and looked after properly (including veterinary care where needed, which really isn't free), but that's your decision of course.
