I haven't had that happen to me or a member of my family, no.
However I have been through some pretty horrific stuff in my life and I personally (as do millions of other people) find that humour is a fantastic coping mechanism. It allows you to confront horrible things and deal with them in a positive way, even when they don't happen to you. Because of this I do have a dark sense of humour, does that make any opinion I have less valid? I don't think so.
As far as normalising unacceptable behaviour goes. I would suggest that rapists have far greater problems than something that is brought about by an inappropriate joke.
Speaking personally 2 members of my family hold positions within the judiciary (well one actually as the other is retired). I have spoken to them about their jobs at great length they have both tried very unpleasant people and both have defended such people when they were at the bar, I hold absolutely no illusions as to how cuntish people can be (men in particular but it ain't exclusive). Despite that both of my relatives hold a special hatred for people who falsely accuse others of rape for many reasons, the most valid in this instance being that it diminishes in the eye of the press and the public the ordeal that other women (mainly) are put through. If you compare the number of false allegations of rape to the statistics of reported or unreported actual rape and then compare press coverage it is grossly in favour of the former. This leads to people questioning actual rape victims motives and increases the likelihood that a vile crime will go unreported, let alone unpunished. For that reason I think that fatty mcfat fat up thread deserves to be verbally torn to shreds publicly. Was senor bear's post tasteful? No but fuck it the silly cow deserve everything she gets IMO.
Fuck me you're a pathetic little creature aren't you. Did I say my family made me anything? Nope I merely relayed the gist of discussions I've had with 2 noted experts who have a great deal to say about this but thanks for contributing.
