Ireland probably out then ;-)
Fantastic day for rugby; sad Ireland were the superpower to get turned over but overwhelmingly positive for everyone except Ireland fans

Ooof. I am now very concerned about Scotland's chances of progressing from this group we have beaten Japan in Japan in the past but under different circumstances. One thing is for sure if we play like we did against Ireland we'll struggle to beat Samoa.

Would be inclined to agree. Improbable at best I reckon. Anyway, shouldn't you be stretching and drinking Gatorade (aka laying on the sofa watching rugby being bought regular snacks and beverages, strictly in prep for your big match). Last word on tiling which is going down the route of different colour grout. Is it possible to cut out, with a mini grinder) the bottom/top of the mosaics and inlay a horizontal strip of 3 mosaics (so essentially one of the ideas without he risk of water ingress and/or obvious cover up attempt). Best of luck again

Normally this what would happen but I'm doing chores and stuff to make up for the fact I'm playing rugby instead of making myself look even prettier than I already am, cough bullshit cough, before I take Mrs Bobbo out for my wedding anniversary.
The fact that Ireland got a lbp and Japan didn't get a tbp adds extra spice.
Yes but it will take a lot of patience and skill to do the cut without chipping tiles that stay. When I have time tomorrow I'll write up how I would do it, it will however be very dusty.

Ireland is the new south africa
Just sayin

If Japan go through England will remain the only host nation to not qualify for the knockout rounds of their own world cup.
Not that I would find that funny in any way.

Lol

I'd take that and having won it once rather than never being knocked out of own pool rounds and having never won it.
-
• #2960
Absolutely. Before you know it England rugby fans will be hopefully singing songs about rugby coming home ;)
-
• #2961
And Scotland rugby fans will be happy just to be in the world cup.

• #2962
And obviously SA wins

For a given value of "obviously"

Finally watching the game. Wow. Japanese hooker is a hell of a player. I want England’s scrum halves to play like both of Japan’s. Fast, simple passes. Proper pace on the game. And what a flat pass for the Fukuoka try.
ITV hub is a dreadful piece of crap though.

Could have sworn that Wales were going to bottle that. They did well to turn the momentum around towards the end of the second half.
And yes ITV hub is shit.

Two cracking matches this morning and the wins were well deserved.
Ditto re ITV. Does anyone know a particular reason it is so poor?
-
• #2968
Yup. Two entertaining games. Glad I didn't have a team in the second one. Proper squeaky bum time!

That match was heart in mouth for the last few minutes.
Ref needed to tell Hooper to wind it in though.

Agreed! If England pay Wales I fear Ben Youngs will give Davies a hatrick if interceptions, unless Youngs takes soooo many steps Davies runs past the ball's path! Thought Wales showed both their strengths and vulnerability in that match. Stand outs were Wainwright and Josh Adams I thought (as well as the usual highly effective 6 and 8)

What I do like about the itv app is we can watch all the games for the next 70 days! Ads are a bitch and functionality sucks, but God it was good to watch 3 games I've missed. Binge RWC FTW!

I shouldn't be this nervous but only a BP win will do here. Should win but after the Ireland game I'm not sure we've got the heart.
-
• #2973
I agree everyone thinking it's a foregone conclusion forgetting that Samoa whirring rusty and nervous tho eventually eased 2 a comfortable win, whereas Scotland were punished physically and mentally. I mean no question Scotland a favourites to win but I was suggesting near 20 point handicap margin is more than generous

DROP GOAL!!!! how fucking far?

I never take playing any of the Polynesian sides as a given. At the end of the day they are playing for their country essentially for free so they have no motivation other than heart and pride a very dangerous thing to underestimate. Especially if the moment you choose to underestimate it is when a 17 stone sub 11 second per 100m Samoan winger is running at you😬.
No, just the top two from each group.
