• Tbh I think it's in the wrong thread, as nice as it is. Hopefully we're looking at what will be the new normal in road bikes.

  • Perfect size imo, though I imagine it'll fit 650b hoops as well.

  • Depends what you mean by 'gravel'. IME most of UK off-road rides usually involve some amount of trails where that's not an appropriate tyre size. But then again usually also sections where it's entirely excessive

  • 38mm tyres not big enough for gravel anymore?

    It's more the limited choices really, like having an MTB with 1.95 tyres and expect it to do everything perfectly well.

  • Of course they are, just everything else about that bike screams road bike to me.

    Pidgeon-holing bikes which kinda cross boundaries is stupid in any case and this bike would be plenty capable on a lot of towpaths and fire-roads but the point I was trying to make was more that I hope that this kind of more versatile road bike is the new normal - that a specific gravel bike is a bit less neccessary.
