Pffft. Read instructions? Just remove the black stuff with an angle grinder, what could go wrong?

I mean...but what am i meant to do to the ferrous phosphate. Paint over it?
Admittedly thought this stuff was going to dissolve the rust away, not turn it black. Thought that was the part of "rust convertors" rather than "rust removers"

Anyone ever used Rustin's rust remover? I tried it out in this frame I got, left it in the shed over the weekend. I came back and the rust is gone but there's this weird black vaguely sticky substance that doesn't wipe away. I'll probably have to wait until the sun comes out again to take a picture, but does anyone know if I'm ok to apply touch up paint over the top of it?
