I wanted a Superb estate, looked at the mk3 2015 onwards in SEL trim. They seemed to hold their price quite well and were £1500-2000 more than an equivalent Passat. Ended up with a Passat GT 2.0tdi 190ps DSG. Also comes on 18 inch alloys vs 19s on the R-Line. Not exciting in any way but does everything very well so far and adaptive cruise makes boring A road drives so much easier....

adaptive cruise
That's one of the things i love about my current car - ACC with DSG.
To be honest, it's likely that, for a particular engines size, I'll likely get whichever of the Passat, Leon, Octavia / Superbe comes innat the right price point with all of the optional bits that I like.
Thanks for all the input, folks!
I habe a Golf 1.4 tsi with a DSG gearbox, which I really like, but i need something with moar bootspace.
Is it worth just getting the estate version, or is the Skoda Superbe any good?
