Yep about the only thing other than the bikes that we keep out of the warehouse.
We have pretty much the full range except the leather Cambridge satchels.

How's that now, happier!? Replaced pedals, upgraded brake levers and gear shifters, shortened the cables!

The RH/SA shifter on my 6-speed has gone quite sticky - the shifts themselves are fine, but the shifter doesn't always return to the neutral position, and occasionally it feels like the cable tension is high. New cables time, or do I need to oil the shifter itself somewhere?

New style stock one? how old?
-
• #7409
Yeah, 2019 bike - only about 5 months and maybe 5-600 miles old?

Best upgrade (IMO) is the brake levers, then the pads....

My customer would have a straight replacement shifter and cable.
Speak to the shop you got it from, or
Bring it to me and I’ll do it.Otherwise, I have loads of spare shifter pods I can sell...

Rack mods,
Dropped back to stock easy wheels - modified though. Puts the front wheel back on the ground and is now super stable.
Added a front flap, just waiting for a black guard bumper from Eerder metaal.
Progress.

It’s a warranty issue, any dealer should replace it FOC. The shifters are shite.
Sometimes a slight tightening of the bolt that holds the lever in, super slight, helps.
Also, if you bend the lever down as if you wanted to snap it off, that can also work.

Most dealers don’t though! They panic and tell the customer oh we need to speak to Brompton before doing anything...
We just replace it and take it up with Brompton after.. its such a small / cheap part
Had it multiple times where customer has been to another shop and waited weeks for a bike they use daily!

OK, ta - it came from a 'premium' (or whatever Brompton call their big sellers) dealer, so hopefully they'll be on the ball. I do like the shifters from an ergonomics POV, and at the moment it mostly just means I have to follow the paddle back with my thumb.

The shifters are so much better than the old ones for a few reasons but an all plastic shifter doesn’t really cut the mustard
-
• #7418
Is there a go-to SPD/flat pedal for the Brompton?
-

Update on the seized grub screw; I was in LBS getting a bike for my boy and they said Brompton had got back to them about my complaint.
They are sending the shop a tool to remove said screw and if it can’t be done a new frame.
🤞Hopefully this comes good and if not I will head out to see mr Hobbs

Any idea how I can turn the nut on this quick release back a flat? It seems to have turned, and now the notch in the nut doesn’t line up with the notch on the arm.
Doesn’t seem to want to clamp down properly now, just undoes itself.

Looks pretty loose in there, I have some spares, sling me £5 and I’ll have one in the post
Do you guys have them on display if I'm able to pop in on my way by sometime?
