Agree, push up bleed on an X2 can be done in 10 minutes and is pretty easy. But it's a little messy.
I remember doing old Avid Juicys and Hayes Nines, and while they were more difficult to get air out of, it was tidier (that roll over reservoir seal on the Hopes means dot fluid everywhere).
Personally I prefer shimanos. Dot fluid is nasty.

I just push up bleed up from the calliper on my X2s and E4s. Syphon off the ruined fluid with the other syringe. Works fine for me.
Edit; reason is cant attach a reservoir like shimano hydros. But i wouldnt have Shimano hydro on an mtb. Shimano road use std method from reservoir at lever.
