Tidy bike, personally if i were upgrading it i'd put my money into wheels and contact points. Upgrading brakes is a nice idea if yours are not up to scratch but DA 9000 are a lot of money for that bike.
I'd also look at adjusting your cockpit setup or do you ride entirely on the drops?

The bike is exactly as I bought it set up wise, I ride on the drops a lot as my commute is only 6-10 miles., will prob ride on the drops all the time on this one.
Bars are 390mm and I hit my knees on my elbow so prob going to 420 carbon. Bike only cost me £220 and keeping the build costs down buying used. Missed out on a nice set of DA9 for £60 the other day -

I don’t think wider bars are the answer. I’d look into bike fit a bit more. You may need a longer stem.
Personally I’d raise the levers so they run into a flat transition with the top of the bars and lower the stem if you find you’re riding in the drops for your whole commute. You can ride on the hoods of the levers then and that personally feels much more controllable in traffic for me. -

That said 390mm is quite narrow if you’re riding road and not track

cheers PhilDas, yeh I am usually a 55-56 TT this one is a 54.5 real will prob look at a longer stem.
My commute is 90% open country roads so on the drops is fine. -

7400 cranks are good and they can be had for not ridiculous money on eBay. You'll most likely need a 103mm BB for a 42mm chain line

as phildas said, levers look a bit low.
Looking for Dura ACE bits, to upgrade my dry day commuter, prefer shimano so Dura ace it is :)
what would suit 7600 cranks or 7400 ?
Also after some nice brake levers, will be putting Dura Ace 900 brakes on as I love the look.
any ideas ?
