Absolutely love alpina, but they have always struck me as much less hard edged or raw than M cars
-

In other words, I'd love to drive an alpina to the ring, but I'd rather lap the ring in an M car.

I was about to edit an add the difference M and alpina, you are quite right!
-
• #50080
That's purely from reading about them. I've owned an e36 m3 evo, but never even sat in an alpina.
-

should have precised, so am I, far from able to afford either one of them haha

This one?
Not sure. Often BMW estates look as good or better than the saloons (see new M5) but I'm not so keen on this.
The saloon looks much better and I'd guess the cm³ increase is marginal.

I always wanted a Evo saloon.
I wonder if they'll appreciate better than the coupé as I'm pretty sure the E36 was the only M3 saloon (until the 4 series GT I guess). Plus pretty much every one out there has probably been ragged to shit, lowered and left to rust.

Only taxi drivers want saloons.

E90 had an M3 saloon also (there's one down the road from me doing duty as a solid family car)

And Americans. They fucking love them.
That and cup holders.

Does look pretty good actually.

There are a few e30 m3 modded estates.

Fucking hell that's a lot of rubber
-
• #50094
Doubt you'd get road rubber for them. I believe the Countach had the widest rear tyres ever used on a production car, and they were only 335/35s, on 12" wide rims.

No way they'd fit under my arches, or over my brakes - I've just ordered a set of these:

my uncle gave me a lift in one of these a couple of weeks ago. 2003 model I think. he sticks shamrock stickers over any warning lights he doesn't like the look of. the crazy bastard
-
• #50097
Very nice, what specs?
-
• #50098
8.5" front, 11" rear, both 18" diameter.
-
• #50099
Sound like turbo spec wheels. Et50? Will you need wheel arch mods on a 996.1 narrowbody car?

Veyron has 365/somethings according to the internet, with current viper and aventador next on 355.
Alpina just revealed the B3 which is their take on the 3-series estate/touring!
