Sale of goods act issue shirly? - as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose?
Unless the packaging specifically mentioned pressed milk curds, in which case you're fucked.

estate agents...
Trying to nick a shitload of our deposit for a variety of bull reasons
charging 200 squid for replacement of chairs that where in the flat, broken when we arrived, probably broken longer than i've been alive..
charging £500 to fix the carpet, that was torn up by their contractors when they were fixing the Illegally routed gas line that left us without gas for 3 weeks.
We didnt take photos at the start so....

I used to work with somebody who did that instead of full stops. Never used a full stop, just three dots. Fucking hated it because it made his emails painful to read. Tried explaining this to him once and he said he didn't give a shit. Seems he felt it was his personal signature. If "I'm a prick" was his intended signature, it worked.

Talktalk ISP.
Signed up by phone a month ago. Was very specific about capacity I needed and they have never provided this (tests by them on 4 separate occasions showed only 60% of their stated average download speed. I have done numerous other tests with no improvement). Furthermore, they sent all correspondence to a fictitious email address nothing like the one I dictated and refused to re-send them to the correct one so I cannot access my account and do not have any record of fees and line charges. I have made 6 calls to them to resolve the poor line capacity and state I am not paying any fees until they sort it. They agreed to this and sent me a new router because they decided the old one must be faulty (it wasn't, it turned out) and said I had 30 days to reject this resolution. Last week I decided I had had enough and said I was changing provider. They are now trying to charge me £150 termination fee. That's £150 to withdraw from a £20/month contract that I was miss-sold (I have since learned that it is the only package they can offer at my location so in other words it's not the ideal package for me it's the only package they can sell). They have also denied that the conversation re no fees applies because I am beyond the 20 day cop out limit. -

^Got a lot better for me when I joined the loyalty club for Avis, not because I get fantastic offers or loads of points (I rent cars far too infrequently for that) but it removed, at a stroke, the 45 minutes of bullshit at the counter where they take your details (2 minutes) then try to sell you on an upgrade to the car, and the top level of insurance, without which you will more than likely have to pay them three times the RRP of the car (43 minutes).
Just book with membership number, pick up keys and out the door - can't recommend it enough.
Oh, and third party cover for the excess for a few quid a year.

Yep, same with Hertz. Find your name on the screen, go and get a car and drive off. All you need to do is show your licence at the barrier.

Fucking cunts have done me again. Taking advantage of people being bleary off an early flight, long queue, non English speaking staff and pretending they didn’t see the papers I handed them, have managed to get me to pay 270 quid i’d already paid for the hire, thinking it was a damage deposit. Now not answering the phone. Caaaants.

Evans Cycles.
Fwe chain tool, made of cheese.
Shop just said they can’t replace it, even though I bought it from the store. Cycled down here as well.
Useless.
