  • Das ist techno sex
Ordered this mainly for the name, but a good reminder that I often do actually enjoy sours.

Not even a Cloudwater Barrel Aged somethingorother.

  • I thought he'd been to The Rake in Borough Market.

  • Now, obviously, as everyone on here knows, Aussies are a bit of a captive market, but ...

  • Axs Edge on the growler station. Rude not to.

Can of Stormbringer too, sounds like it should be a good one.

  • La Trappe Dubbel in a Spanish Carrefour was a pleasant surprise, and a load of Northern Monk stuff on draft for 3 euros in a bar more so.

  • Lots of cheap and strong stuff in the little Carrefour near my hotel.
I went for the comedy bling stuff

  • Brewdog X Cloudwater NEIPA in Tesco is pretty good

  • Had a Blood orange and cranberry sour from Tesco (can't remember the brewery, but it was one of those cans that the whole top comes off with the ring pull)
    I quite liked it.

  • Had a paddle of Northern Monk Jazz sour, their passion fruit lassie heathen and Pressure Drop's Pale Fire at Stormbird in Camberwell. 3 excellent beers.

  • I would like to drink expensive craft IPA in a beer garden in Bristol this afternoon. Where should I go?

  • This is delicious despite the gimicky name & label . Had to stop after 2nd bottle as got early call to get home, would be on it all night given chance...

  • I'd have offered The Plough in Easton, but I'm a day late & unless it has changed lots I'd you'd have been safest drinking rum there.

  • Been once, on a visit to my sister in law's. Thought it was a bit of a dive and very sparsely populated, that is until I went out back, I think most of Bristol were there, cracking night, what I remember of it.

  • what I remember of it.

Standard for time spent in The Plough.

Used to enjoy long days playing pool & loading the jukebox in The Sugar Loaf too. Happy days.

  • Cycled to Bala over the weekend, had a half of Brains bitter, bad start I know, but it's all they had in this particular watering hole, does it always smell/taste like vinegar? Or just poorly kept. Left it, and found somewhere else, with guest ales. Just curious.

  • does it always smell/taste like vinegar

    Nope, that's a dirty/contaminated line

  • Cheers, thought that may be the case. Know to avoid that pub next time I'm there.

  • Still up there amongst the best IPA's:
