Haha, maybe he’s masterfully trolling you :)

No, no. I wish. He was dead serious. He didn't understand why I preferred grinding my own beans before making coffee ¯_(ツ)_/¯
-
• #16304
He knows that ground beans need to settle at least 3 months before use, all them noxious off gases donchano.

Found this ‘Signora caffettiera’ in the garage missing a funnel. Is there a shop somewhere with a range of funnels? Looks like it hasn’t been used for a while, will it need new seals?

He just asked me if I wanted the bottom half of a muffin, because 'I eat the top and pop.... the bottom'. Verbatim.

I don’t even know.

Getting original spares is likely impossible, best route to go down would be to measure the diameter for the funnel to sit in and see if you can find anything similar.

For the money it's probably worth a shot!

You could just get a NOS one!
Or maybe get the seller to measure the filter funnel to help you find something close.

Looking forward to this. Can't get distilled water anywhere to try the third wave water so I'll be doing it with Brita filtered water instead.

Haha I'm ready as well! I don't have 5 identical cups or proper cupping spoon but hopefully it doesn't detract from the overall experience

Sounds like he’s coming on to you
definitely

We had a small gathering for it, thought it was great. Went on a bit long but a brilliant way to give people the full industry cupping experience.

Brilliant! Did it with my wife while the kids crashed around the house around us...not exactly the best environment! It was a little long but really enjoyed it nonetheless. Confimed my bias towards natural Ethipioans and Kenyans but I knew that the moment I ground them!

Yes I did identify the Africans right, I had cup B as a washed central so half a point for that. Cup A got better and better as it cooled, really liked that one. Nicaragua Entre Rios I think.

• #16324
Yea at first I thought A was a little boring, presumed it was Brazilian but it definitely got better over time!
