Progress! Settled into the new house/job back home in Shropshire. Finally have a more reasonable sized shed (though not huge by a long shot), with room to store bikes/brazing kit/leave jig set up. Fairly set on a full size (Bullitt style) cargo bike as the next big project, but reusing an old 26" mtb frame for the rear end.
In the mean time a few tidying up jobs for the RoadRat and N°1. Commuting daily to work on the RR now, though Shrops is hillier than York, so got a DMR mech hanger to convert to 1x9 XT. Brazed on gear cable guides and a boss to the rack for the dynamo light. Then a (very) rough and ready black rattle can job on the bare bits to keep it from rusting before a proper powdercoat. Still needs a chainstay bridge before I can fit guards.
N°1 is being used in two weeks for the Adriatic Crest which requires more water carrying capacity, so brazed two more bottle mounts on. One on the DS seatstay (annoyingly calliper gets in the way on the other side) and one on the TT for a small bottle and side entry cage, totally 4x800ml + 1x600ml. Switched to flats too as I struggled with achilles pain with spds after a few days on the last longer tour. Still to do before the trip:
