  • So fitting a rack to the Brompton electric means when folded the front wheel is lifted and therefore the bike just falls over...

    Maybe fitting 45/50mm wheels would improve it to get the wheel on the floor again...

    In other news I’m on holiday in the Isle of Wight right now and I’ve just realised how capable the standard S6L is. Coped with all of the hills so far, feels good to ride, and is surprisingly stable even on some of the fast descents when approaching the Needles on the coastal road.

  • As a semi fit cyclist the 6 speed will do you well, as someone who wants to go further / higher/ longer the rohloff offers you that much more.

    6 speed is the best stock option. its faster than 2 speed and you can still go uphill.

    6 speed + 58/60t chainring = fun.
