So if you had a free win single £1000 bet at current odds
- at a guess
NZ 6/5
SA & Eng 5/1
Ire & Wales 10/1
Aus 16s
ARG 33/1
Who would you go for?
- at a guess

SA. Saw them a 8-1 a few weeks ago and thought that was a great bet.

What odds are France? (Destined to be losing Finalists!)

They are looking good.
Edit: South Africa I mean

Just read a bit more about Howley, apperently there will be a press conference tomorrow am (our time) with more details.
It was the WRU who sent him home, and rule six is pretty clear: if rugby is your profession you can't bet on it. Could be a lifetime ban.

Couple of journos suggest he’s been under investigation for up to two months. Why would they take him then?

Because they've got the right feathers in their emblem?

Come on let's get some more teams in the league - see my posts a few up the thread (or someone start an LFGSS League)

Does anyone know of a pub showing a really early match? I'd like to be pissed before breakfast time, ideally. Under the pretence of watching rugby

I appear to have got myself into trouble with Mrs Bobbo.
She has taken exception to me betting against the country of her birth. I backed Fiji by 5 @ 9/1, Fiji has a very tasty looking lineup, I think they have at least one big performance in them.

That is one hell of a team with 2 of the most dynamic forwards in Nakawara and Mata

So whilst I have an affinity with Fiji (which rugby player/fan doesn't) and moreso due to the Matavesi family link to Cornish rugby (I've personally played against Sam and Joel within the last 5-6 years) I was chatting with my pal saying what good value Aus-15 are. I haven't bet much in years but at the last world cup won probably 80+% of 10/11 handicap bets blindly backing the outsider ie Romania +65 Vs France. This time, a quick glance (France -1 Wales -27 Eng -39 and Aus -15) make me think they've gone too far the other way...they're obviously still reeling from the fact I took them (the bookies) for the best part of £60 4 years ago!!!

Is Tevita Cavubati the son of Big Bill?
-
• #2844
Yes.
Squidge rugby reckons that Semi Radradra is the Fijian player to watch but I think that was mostly so he could make lots of comments about him not being a semi but a full blown stiffy.

Hard to handle etc.

He's torn up the Top 14 looking unplayable at times. Young Damian Penaud (son of French 10/12 Alain) looks a superb old school winger, and barely 20 I believe

Got sucked in?

Penaud is a quality player. Plays 13 in club rugby also.

Yes, looked a cut above at u-20s and quite frankly has continued his upward curve into the seniors. Think he'll have a great WC
