Canon Eos Elan 7E
..just looked that up - one of those Canons that have the "Eye Control Focusing"?
Does that work (with AF lenses of course, not with the Zenitar : )??
Does that work with shooting moving subjects?Apart from that 1/750 should be plenty fast enough to get a sharp shot..

I have no idea tbh - I haven't calibrated it yet.

A very good channel on YT that has gone under the radar for many called Media Division.
A great video on Superspeed Cinema lenses and how to get the same oomph with the Contax Zeiss lenses.

Dredge but I went in today and...yes they will. Guy confirmed that they'll scan 36 seperate negatives at 13mb files for £12. They won't mix formats so I'll probably just get 35mm scanned and printed for now. Think about some yuuuge 6x9 prints another time...
Would a 13mb 35mm scan print to A4 without looking gack? Obviously personal taste but is there a rule of thumb?

they will
great!
Would a 13mb 35mm scan print to A4 without looking gack?
Short answer: yes
Long answer: YMMV, "it depends" - on your expectations, on the quality of the scanner (shit scanners can give you big files, but they look shit), on the method of printing, on the distance between your eyes and the print (holding it in your hand or it being up on a wall 2 meters away) etc. etc.

Expectations: low to none. My experience of buying prints so far is 1.5mb scans and photobox's 6 x 4 matt prints. Pretty much anything else will be an improvement. Will probably order a few 9x6s and go from there. Thanks!

Would a 13mb 35mm scan print to A4 without looking gack?
Yeah, absolutely. I print 'medium' 3089 x 2048 Noritsu scans at A4 regularly on my inkjet and they look fine on my wall.
I've printed the same scan at 6x4, 7x5 and A4 and the image isn't obviously falling apart at A4 compared to the smaller sizes. -

Those beagle ears. So cute. As a now owner of a half beagle I have never appreciated your dogs ears more than I do now. That shit's so soft :-)

Really want a beagle but heard they are fussy buggers.

Yeah, totally unrelated but Buzz is a beagle chihuahua cross according to a DNA test we had done as the place we adopted him from weren't sure. He may as well be 100% beagle, though. Incredibly food motivated, very vocal, stubborn af. But he's also the sweetest little guy and sparks much joy so it's okay.

wow, how much does that cost if you don't mind me asking?

$65. Was really easy. Ordered it, turned up, swab his mouth a few times, send it in a prepaid envelope thing. Got the results three weeks later. Some people seem to have poor results like 10% this, 20% that, 10% this. But ours was very clear cut. 'Your dog is undoubtedly 50% Chihuahua 50% Beagle'

Very nice, such light, much tones.
Looking forward to shooting b&w again actually; just dropped off 2 rolls of Kodak ColorPlus yesterday for developing and thought to myself ok, well that's that then with warm-ish colour negative film until May 2020, haha.
Actually did buy two roll of melancholic Fuji though for shooting the bits of autumn sun we get here in Berlin. -

Womens Tour of ScotlandI really like the vibe in these (also beautiful tones) but what's up with the spots in some of the pictures?
Also in the first and last one it looks like there's something funny with the lens, maybe it's just my eye but it looks kinda weird how the focus drifts off towards the edge of the frame. -

These were straight out of the tank, wet and onto the lightbox, then digitised with my mobile (hand held)..... I will scan them properly but have more to dev before I setup my scanning contraption.
Thanks! Beautiful enough to buy and have on your wall forever...? Haha
