I plan on getting gloves and socks for when it goes below about 15 I am thinking.

Ohh I see. Gloves and boots are for wimps?
Do they cause as much debate in swimming circles as headphones and helmets do in cycling :D

No, just a reference to running attire.

I don't really swim in anything below 15 deg C so don't take any advice from me (and I tend to wear a wetsuit for anything under 20 deg C).
