Interested in the S-phyre for my partner. She has Empire's but they're a little too narrow for her. Can you ask your other half if she feels the fit of the S-phyre is more generous than the Empire?
Where are you based?

I have a pair of Empire Knit (road) and S-Phyre MTB myself. There’s not much in it, there’s a small amount more room in the S-Phyres I think.
I guess there’s a bit more room in the Knot version over standard due to the material too.I’m based in Edinburgh but happy to post.

I’ll take the Giros - pm incoming
Cross is coming apparently.
Shimano S-phyre: £125
These are as new. Some small scuffs on the heel and a few marks from having cleats fitted.
Unfortunately they're too small for my other half, and can't return.
Cleats not included.
Giro Empire: £95
Other half has used for commuting for a few months. Excellent condition. See photos for exact condition.
She prefers the fit of another pair so these are up for grabs.
Open to offers if prices are off, but I've not seen many cheaper or in better condition for under £180/£140.
Photos coming.
