I use one of these attached to the back of the steerer/handlebars. Holds a bottle nicely, although have to be a bit careful of the food as it can stick out a bit.

Thanks for heads up, what do people do for bottles on bromptons? I've already got a front bag but not one with the bottle pouches. The monkii bottle clip looks nice but more than a bit steep for what it is.
