  • Thanks for the reply, makes sense and half expected as much re advertising modified bikes.

What I want vs what is possible vs what I’d consider reasonable expense may be the conundrum! Ideally I’d like a disk braked, geared and dynamo-ed Brompton that is lighter than my current dynamo-ed S6L. Guess that to get this one would need to go Ti rear frame and fork? What would be a ballpark cost something like this? Feel free to PM if that’s easier, or let me know an email address I ca send questions to.

  • Rohloff build Starting from Non disc £2250, disc front and rear, £3000, add ti + £300

    Dynamo add £200-300

Lighter than s6l... what does yours weigh?

Stock m6l made an m14l with just wheel / triangle swap is 12.97kg
Disc fork and wheel with deore hydro brakes is 13.24

  • Thanks for the info 👍 Not sure what it weighs to be honest, but enough for me to notice it when climbing station stairs! Edit: weighs 13.5kg in current guise.

Is Rohloff the only option, it is it possible to build a wheel with an Alfine 8/11 hub?
