Voters inevitably pick and choose the bits they like. Think about all those remain supporter who voted Labour.

I do agree that the queen should not be blammed or brought into any of this - she has a ceremonial role.
There should be check and balances before that point. These have never been needed though, as normally, no majority means an election would just happen. The ticking clock of Article 50 means this is not a normal situation. Lessons need to be learned from the whole Article 50 process.

They also forgot that Thatcher has arranged talks with the IRA and that the British State has colluded with terrorists that have killed people in NI loyal to the UK state.
But, those are probably just "Irish" in their book, the Brexit nationalism is an English nationalism, not a "one nation" nationalism.

Those get a LOT of flak in Remain forums. But with FPTP there wasn't much choice in some areas, a softer Brexit or May's one, cha...

I'll reckon we'll be back in, Euro and all, within ten years of leaving.
Before the Anglo/Scots war finishes in this thread, then.

I understand where you are coming from and there are clearly lots of issues on which we can agree.
But she's a jorno with strong links to the BBC who strongly supports Brexit. She seems like an obvious choice IMO. I genuinely don't see how the fact that she has extremely recently become a politician makes her unsuitable.

Are we really suggesting those in power in Scotland back in wheneverthefuckwewanttogobackto were any better than those in power anywhere else back in wheneverthefuckwewanttogobackto?

Right now my predictions are this, or more likely breakup of the Union. You can already see the bullet points in the GCSE essays on the causes lining up. ROI independence, IndyRef1, Brexit, IndyRef2, NI ref1, etc.
Maybe in the long run this will be a good thing. Becoming internationally irrelevant means less foreign aid and military spend.

Well you've hit the nail on the head of the problem with the nationailist historical narrative.
Letmeguess you veiw it as a class based struggle?

Technically the bombs were in bins.
They were simply trying to get rid of the bombs in an environmentally friendly manner - to condemn them for this is an outrage.

I'm not a big fan of monarchy but if we do have it her role must be ripe for automation. Can we replace her with a computer?

I see it as a "those with bigger swords, more money, the ability to aggregate money, land, crops and not die of syphilis when fucking their cousin/sister/dad" problem.

'less foreign aid' - this is bullshit right wing speech for 'giving to charity'. Foreign aid is a fraction of the budget of the military and far more effective at making the world safer. Foreign aid also includes the money that the EU gave back to us to do things like build stuff in poorer areas and have art events, as opposed to the military, which seems to be the UK's number 1 provider of homeless alcoholics.

But she's a jorno with strong links to the BBC: Exactly, they love her. That's up to them, and for other articles I guess it would be fine.
Perhaps if they had picked her and somebody else who wants Remain and give equal space, I'd be less critical as well. It just isn't balanced to me atm.
I think it would not be wise to ask somebody who wants to cancel A50 and give them that much space either btw.

But...did they put the bombs in the metal recycling bin, or general waste? I think we must be told.
[fuck those apologists sky high btw, I live 500 meters away from a place where 4 people died due to a car bomb]

This. We give about 0.7% of our income.
We should, I believe, set an example on the world stage and give above this.If the 5th richest man in the world gave such a percentage to overseas charity I'd think him a bit of a cunt.

You're in NI - it's like being 6 foot from a rat in London.
