Car appreciation... the aesthetics, the engineering, etc

Looking at the s3 rear, it doesn't look right. Is it the reg plate surround or the lotus painted white in the bumper. Or that I prefer the the s1/2 rear with fiat x1/9 lights.

And surely it is too, well, British for tires (sorry, tyres) with white lettering.

I sit corrected, factually challenged as usual. But, but, it just looks wrong.

The S1 was and had veglia clocks and fiat x1/9 rear lights and then the S2 used marina switch gear and rover sd1 rear lights.

Alot of motor show cars do have the tyres manufactures named highlighted. Agree that it looks wrong on the road.

Probably the best those Morris Marina door handles ever looked!

I dunno - I think it looks pretty cool with them highlighted. Give it a bit more muscle.

I'd rather it had Dunlop in yellow.

Is it just me or is there very little legroom, in both the front and rear?

there is very little in the back of a 159. i went from bristol to castle combe in the back of one and shorthened my life by about 12 months. they are pretty quick though

They're not huge although I had a full car across France recently with a 6'2" chap in the back and no complaints!

@johnnettles2 agreed on the white but otherwise it's the perfect spec!

True enough... I'd equally argue though that numbers are irrelevant, it's all about whether it feels fast.

Bhp/tonne probably is the most empirical measurement of "fast" though.

It makes the right noises though, surely that's half the battle?
