Oh jeez, I was also teasing. No worries.
And yeah I get that a lot. It's a gift.

In that case... nice hair mop head!
Although I do agree, Pete is a stellar example of a person

The secret's in my distinct lack of hair

Virtual bikebuilding has progressed into virtual bike painting, albeit very roughly.
And because this build is turning out to become quite expensive, I'm saving money on it by spending more money on a different bike.
I'll pop over the drivetrain of the Kona to the new one, to have a clutched rear derailleur and put an SLX / XT 11 speed mix on that. Left overs will then go to the Eroba, for that to become a risered town bike.

virtual bike painting
You deserve something a little more HHSGB, I think

Example?

Rattlecan. Can't afford posh paint, and single colour powder feels a bit dull. I've been looking at the spray.bike, any more about? A friend is convincing me I need to substitute any whites for silver spray paint, but I'm not so sure.

Ah, I would possibly attempt rattlecan, but it'd end up mixed with sawdust and cat hair :-/
Think I'm just more into blue, purple, red, orange really. Only green bike I've liked recently was the sparkly Krampus

Paint's a bit personal, innit :-)
You could bring back 'sweet baby blue'!

Try not to get carried away though..

To paint your ENVE wheels this way is probably the bicycle epitome of having fuck you-money.

I have a bit of a thing for green bikes, I have had a a "don't buy a new bike unless it's green" policy for quite a while actually. But I might be better off with something more exciting. Plenty of time to mull it over...

Luckily I lack the skills and patience (hence the lack of skills) for something like that.

Hmm.

First one, I usually go for middle of logo lining up with valve.
-
• #219
Yeah, having seen both it's a better look. I will change my ways.

I'm really happy I've found a friend who has a RAL fan deck I could borrow as the on screen colours are nowhere close to the colours in real life. I've made a pre-selection, now to uhm and ah over it for a night and decide by tomorrow as he needs it back for work stuff.
I've also ordered some faux gold leafs and gilding glue to play with it and see if I can get a passable result. If so I might go for some gold details on the frame, will probably land me in the anti thread but hey ho.

I've been reading back trying to remember where your cadbike is gonna come from (are you building it?) and came across this. In my experience, with smp saddles, the angle depends a lot on bar drop. When I was touring and had approx a metre of spacers, my saddle was pointed way up

Good to hear, they're lovely saddles but a ball (and arse) ache to set up.
I'm not building it myself, a friend of mine has bought a jig and I've volunteered as guinea pig for one of the practice runs. Would love to have the skills and workshop, but I don't think my landlord nor my girlfriend would appreciate a @PhilDAS tribute.
I was only teasing, I meant no offence. My sincere apologies.
Just jealous of your luscious locks really. Trying to grow my wild hair also.
