Did Roglic gift that to Pog in the end?

Slovenia. So hot right now.

Given they crossed the line almost together I'm going with yes. Rog didn't need to win and I think stealing it from Pog would widely have been seen as a dick move.
Not that I'd really know because Eurosport's highlights of yesterday's stage currently cut off the last 1.6km so they could include 40 minutes of motorbikes/kayaking!! lol!!1!

He didn't even bother pretending to try for a win.
-
• #24306
Imagine he loses by three seconds now.

Valverde is going on the podium isnt he?! MAD LAD!

Only until wada find what he was on.

They won't find out from any races in Spain.
-
• #24310
Of course he did. Buys him a favour should he need it in the next week.

Ouch that was a big pile up.

And a strange sprint too. Bennet saying he didn't celebrate because he wasn't sure whether the break had made it on not!

My in laws live in Catalonia. All their neighbours grow weed on their balconies- you can see it from the roof terrace. I guess the climate works so you don’t need loads of electric, and lots of people smoke normal rollies anyway so not such a big leap to have a little joint now and again. One of the balconies we can see is the local mayor

@taogeogheganhart with the GT stage podium place on a bastard of a stage
-
• #24315
Yeah, he looked really strong. Needs to work on his pre stage IV though. His very relaxed "not sure if I'll have a go today or tomorrow, will have to see" screamed "I'M DEFINITELY GOING FOR THIS ONE!"

It’s a great result although I’m sure he hoped for more from the Vuelta.
Interesting aside (well I find it interesting) - there are not actually podium places for 2nd and 3rd in GT stages. Only the stage winner and the various jersey winners go to the podium.

Why ride on an injury like this?

Maybe he doesn't have a contract for next year?
-
• #24319
I’d agree, seems like a failure of duty of care.

so happy for him

Greg Henderson replied saying that isn't a bad place for an injury...unless you go down again. Cycling still very macho and riders willing to/forced to ride despite terrible injuries.

For amateurs, one should add

in other news Froome severs tendon in thumb with kitchen knife, forcing him to wear a splint that keeps it extended up.
2019 has truly been the year of endless thumbs up pics from hospital beds for him so kind of appropriate I suppose.

J Dibben to Lotto Soudal
Just why do they always have to get lost for so long before they make it? :)
