In regards to the immigrants... so, I had a read on a local FB page.
There are some towns in NI with shit housing (clearly mostly not the fault of immigrants but shit housing that is rented out anyway cos you need any house and lack of enforcement powers and resources/lack of council housing which is the fault of the local government) and problems with people getting jobs are employers are flouting the laws (which is...oh) and they undercut immigrants.
Now it turns out one of these employers has been fined very often for breaking employment laws (they barely hire "locals" but prefer EU immigrants that work hard for minimum wage...) but the fines are so low, they just pay them.
Why won't those workers join a union? Well, because the people bringing them in are pretty much people smugglers. And because they change all the time it is like trying to dismantle a drug smuggling ring.
And what about road blocks? Well if you like your knees broken... did I mention they are criminals?
The person posted it acknowledged the exploitation as well, but people are so sick and tired they'll vote anything to send a signal.
There is no easy fix either, I think NI has the power to massively increase fines but it takes time to build housing.
Like Farage and the DUP are going to fix that, yeah, but just to add some nuance.
