If I were to purchase a 240 estate, what engine and transmission (and possibly rear end) would be the most apposite?
I'd love to stay Volvo, but the RWD rear ends are either live axle, or hybrid live axle with a composite leaf spring that is a massive PITA.
Ideally I'd be able to buy a complete donor car and the Volvo, without hunting around for the donor too much.
I'd like an automatic gearbox, a naturally aspirated motor, and lots of power and torque.
Pretty close to my C55, frankly.
So! Other than a donor C55, what would work?
I know nothing about this but heard from friends who builds drifting cars that the driveline is often BMW 5-Series.
